The festival
Clockenflap was born in 2008 to give Hong Kong an arts and music festival worthy of a major metropolis. Inspired by the likes of Glastonbury and South by Southwest, the event showcases the region’s finest up-and-coming musicians alongside some of the world’s most established acts.
The calibre of international acts on stage at Clockenflap is high – The Charlatans, Azealia Banks and Primal Scream have all played at the festival in the last few years. Whether you are an indie, folk or ethnic music fan, there are tons of acts not to be missed at Clockenflap. With a mixture of art, film and cabaret acts also on the bill, this festival offers an all-round cultural experience.
Located on the quiet harbourfront in the West Kowloon Cultural District, Clockenflap offers an alternative view of Hong Kong: escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy the impressive skyline from your spot in front of the stage.
Our tip
While the festival site is packed with food stalls and drink tents, there are no ATMs on site. Be prepared and stock up on cash beforehand.

Getting there
How do I get there?
Clockenflap is in the West Kowloon Cultural District – public transportation to the venue is easy. The best buses to take are KMB 8 or green mini-bus 77M from the Tsim Sha Tsui ferry pier – both will drop you off at Austin Road West, near the access road entrance to the promenade. Alternatively, KMB buses 11, 203E, 215X, 207A and 281A and green mini-buses 26 and 74 drop you off at the Western Harbour Crossing Toll Plaza, which is a 10-minute walk to venue. The nearest MTR is at Kowloon Station on the Tung Chung line, which is a 10-minute walk to the venue.
