Legendary photographer Patrick Lichfield enjoyed life in the Caribbean – and who’s to blame him? Lichfield, whose big break came when he was asked him to photograph unlikely fashion icons the Duke and Duchess of Windsor in the swinging sixties, later set up home on the exclusive private island of Mustique.
Contented, he gave his creativity full rein across the subjects for which he was best known – landscape, portraits, fashion and, as you can see from the gallery above, nudes.
Lichfield died in 2005, but his influence lives on – and now a new show enables us to enjoy luxurious images both known and unpublished. Go on, indulge yourselves
Patrick Lichfield's Caribbean is at The Little Black Gallery, 13A Park Walk, London SW10 0AJ from 29 October – 7 December.
