The basics
Anyone can organise an event for Oxjam in October and it can comprise of anything vaguely music related. The only thing that each jam has in common is that they are fundraising events for Oxfam. Oh, the possibilities!
The festival
Supported by thousands of wonderful volunteers, Oxjam invites organisers all over the UK to set up gigs, club nights and Takeovers with the collective mission to raise money for Oxfam.
There's an emphasis on showcasing local talent, so the likelihood is that once you've tracked down your nearest Oxjam gig you will get to see some homegrown artists. But the big names like to get involved too - Oxjam boasts a following from Jarvis Cocker, Fatboy Slim, Damon Albarn, Hot Chip, 2manydjs and more.
Our tip
Search the website to find your nearest Oxjam - with literally hundreds to choose from, you'd have to live under a rock to be too far away from at least one. Oh, you do live under a rock? Well then we can't help you, but maybe Oxfam can...?
