Everyone's at it. We find bargain flights online, and wait for them to quadruple in price before booking. Not this time: we've scoped out three new flight routes we all need to book, right now.

Porto, Portugal

We've been flying the Portuguese flag for some time at Escapism, and this new route, launching from easyJet in April, has us planning our next trip already. If you like port you're sorted, and you'll knock back several (bottles) in the city's little bars. If port's not for you, you can't help but love the ramshackle buildings and Douro River views. From £72 return, including taxes. easyjet.com

Seville, Spain

Ah, yes, that'll be another long weekend to add to the list. This time it's flying with British Airways to Seville in Andalusia, Spain. The route launches at the end of February, just in time for the balmy Spring months. Expect a city 0f spectacular architecture, with some tasty tapas for when you need a break from that sightseeing stuff. From £107 return, including taxes. britishairways.com

Portland, USA

Portland may be known for coffee, bikes, hipsters and food trucks, but if you're the outdoorsy type you'll be in your element too. There are over 70 miles of hiking trails around the city, along with a load of historic sites and museums. Sound good? Icelandair is launching flights in May. From £680 return, including taxes. icelandair.co.uk
