The basics
Festival fun in an abandoned airport
The festival
Pohoda means peace. Bažant means pheasant. Not 100% sure what all that adds up to, but the lineup seems to suggest an awesome festival. Snuggled perfectly between Vienna, Bratislava and Brno, it's piss easy to get to and promises stars aplenty including Bjork, Manu Chao and Franz Ferdinand (the band).
2014 saw the likes of Seasick Steve rocking up at the Terminal, and with a small, intimate capacity, Pohoda is a chance to see some of the world's best acts up close and personal. Just be nice to Bjork!
Our tip
If you've got a while in Slovakia visit the Tatra mountains. They're beautiful. And massive. Vienna's not too shabby either if you fancy a city break.
