The basics

Actually quite a poorly kept (but great) secret

The festival

Calling your festival Best Kept Secret and then publicising the arse off it is a bit counter-productive, but we might be reading into the name a bit much there. We're glad it's not a well kept secret though, because it's an amazing festival in the Netherlands. Expect lots of frolics (the Dutch do frolics well) with Indie Karaoke, tucker-tastic BBQ and a clog-load of stages and tents. Stage tents, that is. Normal tents with normal people in them wouldn't be very impressive.

Just down the road from the wonderful city of Eindhoven, BKS is a great way to get festival season into full swing. Shhhhhhh, don't tell anyone*

*tell everyone

Our tip

Eindhoven would be a relatively low-scoring word on Scrabble because of the abundance of vowels. However, this is irrelevant because city names are inadmissable in the game of Scrabble.

Getting there

How do I get there?

Plane

Fly to Amsterdam Schiphol, Eindhoven, Rotterdam, Antwerp or Brussels airport, for instance with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines from London. From there, take the train to Tilburg Central Station (from Belgium via Antwerp and Roosendaal). Check up-to-date Dutch railway information at ns.nl and/or Belgian railway information at BelgianRail.be. At Tilburg, shuttle buses leave for Best Kept Secret.

Train

You can take the Eurostar train from London to Brussels. From Brussels trains leave for Tilburg Central Station (via Antwerp and Roosendaal). At Tilburg, shuttle buses leave for Best Kept Secret.

Car

Set your navigation system to Kommerstraat, Hilvarenbeek and turn your navigation off when traffic signs indicate the Best Kept Secret festival site.

Shuttle busses

From Tilburg station shuttle buses leave for the bus stop at Camping A/Main entrance. From here you can walk to Camping A or the festival grounds. A return ticket costs €5.

People that need to go to Camping B(ungalow) also take the shuttle bus to Camping A / Main entrance. Change there to the shuttle bus between the two campsite entrances. A return ticket to Camping B still costs €5.

Shuttle busses run on and off. The exact schedule will be announced closer to the festival.
