The basics

As one of the most laid back festivals of the summer, End of the Road is renowned for its family friendly image and various activities that catch the festival veteran totally off-guard.

The festival

If there’s one thing that won’t happen to you at End of the Road, it’s boredom. Thriving on diversity, in a beautiful woodland environment, there are ten different areas full of exciting activities and music to discover.

With a lineup in 2014 featuring chilled folk and indie standouts such as The Flaming Lips, St Vincent and The Horrors, the festival is slowly starting to experiment with harder rock bands like Eagulls, Drenge and Wytches, keeping the festival now in its tenth year fresh and exciting. Not forgetting a special appearance last summer from The Gene Clark No Other Band, featuring members of Fleet Foxes, Beach House and Grizzly Bear.

Music isn’t the be all and end all however. With stages dedicated to comedians, films, book readings and other activities, variety is certainly the spice of life at End of the Road. You can even have a game of croquet.

Our tip

Join in on one of the many workshops including shadow puppet performing and Crazy Comic Club. Perfect for kids while the parents can hide in the beer garden.
