The basics
Throw your horns up in a giant arena to a gaggle of massive rock bands, past and present.
The festival
If you like the type of music that breaks scales (because it's heavy, is what we're getting at), then this is where it's at. Loud Park is sort of what it says on the tin, in that it's definitely loud, but it's definitely not in a park. It's in a big arena (the same one they use for WWE, FYI) instead.
But just because it's not in a field, doesn't mean it's not a festival – it's full of the biggest bands in rock, and you'll be slap-bang in the middle of a giant mosh pit full of other metal-head nutcases. What more could you want?
Our tip
Don't leave your chopsticks upright in your rice bowl – it bears a resemblance to the incense sticks used at Japanese funerals, and is considered rude. You're welcome.
