Mouth of the Tyne Festival
Jul 2020
The basics
Set in the beautiful surroundings of Tynemouth Priory and Castle, this family-friendly festival is the perfect place to wile away a summer's evening.
The festival
In the colourful surroundings situated neatly on the coast, expect a few big name acts, surrounded by smaller and more local bands. But it's not just music that'll make your day - you've got craft stalls, comedy, street performers and dance troupes. On Sunday (family day), there's even more stuff for kids, including a pageant and we assume, some sort of sticky food that they can get all over their hands and leave grubby marks on the car window.
With such a wide range of things on offer, you'd be mad to miss out on this fest.
Wow, that last sentence sounded like a radio advert, apologies.
Seriously though, this is a great day (or weekend) out.
Our tip
If you want to make sure you see everything you want to, pick up one of their exhaustive programmes - it'll help.
Also, you can roll it up and shout OOOOOOOOO down it.
