Spitalfields Music Winter Festival
Dec 2019
The basics
Chilly fun in LDN
The festival
Spitalfields Music is based in Tower Hamlets, London, working to bring together world class artists and local people for music projects that affect positive change. They put together two annual festivals in Summer and Winter.
The seasonal festivals have totally different flavours but the focus is on classical music old and new, and creating a platform for local community projects. The December festival is more of a winter warmer, with super-arty film premieres and intimate concerts. Expect early music, cutting-edge contemporary sounds, roof-raising jazz and musical treats for the kiddies too.
There are multiple venues for the festival across central London, from cool contemporary spaces to beautiful historic buildings.
Our tip
Spitting is wrong. Even if you do it in a field, far away from people, it's not good form.
