The basics
This one isn't for you if you tend to lose track of space and time at a festival and end up on the back of a lorry because you've lost all your mates and can't remember where you live. And consider that to be the time of your life.
The festival
Stanthorpe Rocks certainly rocks, but more in a 70s-bands-and-a-nice-glass-of-red type of way than two-litres-of-cider-and-regrettable-decisions type of way.
Stanthorpe Rocks knows how to enjoy the finer things in life. It takes place at a wine estate which says it all really; you can reserve seats in front of the stage - so no back ache - there's an international food market, and even a fully seated restaurant for those who couldn't possible stomach a greasy burger from a van.
It's a pretty classy affair, featuring some rock n' roll bands that you'll know and some that you won't, as between the headliners there are acoustic performances from local acts.
Day 2 is Rock n Recovery which will incorporate a market day showcasing locals wares and budding young artists entertaining the crowd. Buy a Reserved Seat or Corporate ticket and receive FREE admission to Rock n Recovery on Sunday.
Our tip
We never thought we'd say this, but why not enjoy the festival from the sky?
Helicopter rides over the Ballandean Estate are available for up to 3 people at a time - one way to make it an unforgettable festival but one you'll actually remember.
