The basics

Mainstream rock, pop and dance DJs head up to Kinross to throw down. Expect a party only the Scots can throw.

The festival

Regular attendees of T in the Park will tell you that its one hell of a party as Scotland descends on Kinross. With tents from BBC Introducing, Radio One, legendary dance tent Slam and more, T in the Park is the biggest festival held in Scotland.

Now 20 years old, the set up’s solid and reliable (more so than the weather) and all you need to do is turn up ready for a party. Especially if you book into the Tangerine Fields, which have pre-set up tents all ready and waiting for you.

Aside from taking in sets from everyone from Elbow to Pharrell Williams, you can chill out in the Healing T area and the Garden of Delight, ramp up the adrenaline in an old-fashioned fairground or catch a dose of glamour in the Cabaret Club. There’s also Fancy Dress Friday, while a VIP ticket will get you access to a special VIP area that stays open until 2am.

Our tip

Buy a Refresh wristband to enter a world of pampering. Get your hair washed, straightened, nails done or just soap off the dirt with a hot shower.
