The festival
Since Henry VIII had it build in a hurry, South Sea Castle's seen its fair share of action over the years, but nothing like this. Ray Davies, Johnny Marr and Primal Scream all in one place? Shit me, this is going to be good. With a whopping line-up of classic acts and modern trailblazers, the August bank holiday promises to be a showstopping (though I suppose at a festival that would be a bad thing) showcase of British talent.
Not satisfied? Well, there's an ale festival, an aquariam, a D-Day museum, a Boutique market and much much more. Still not satisfied? Well there's nothing we can do for you. To Portsmouth!
Our tip
Treat 'em Green, keep 'em keen. Ladies love recycling. Portsmouth BIG Recycle will be at the festival this year, running a swapping shop where you can trade old clothes for shiny (not so shiny) new ones (not so new). But pretty.
