Surfing 

Install a roof wrap, use straps or bundle the boards in an area out of the way so they're protected and won't fly around. Use waterproof bags for wet gear storage and create a dedicated drying area with a retractable clothesline or hooks. As always, store wax and other small items away from sunlight. 

Hiking

Use vacuum storage bags for bulky items like sleeping bags and a shoe rack near the entrance to store muddy books. Create a map and guidebook storage area and use collapsible containers for trail snacks and supplies.

Rock Climbing

Use plastic bins for chalk, carabiners, and other small gear and create a dedicated space for crash pads. Dry your sweaty gear with a small fan to keep the van smelling fresh.
