What do you think of when you think of Chester? Footballer's houses? That nice bit of the north near Manchester? What about blues, rhythm & rock? That's right, it's all of these things, partly thanks to Chester Blues Festival.
Featuring big name artists in the blues world, it's a showcase of all that is good about the moodiest genre of music since Moody Blues Mood Rock swept the world. A one day festival, it's one for those who know their blues music inside out and want to spent the day with fellow blues fans. Blues!*
*The organisers have assured us that the boy band Blue will not be in attendance.
Our tip
If you mix yellow and green paint, you get blue, which is a lovely way to make new colours
