Hip-hop, grime, bass, RnB and more combine on stage to form an urban festival, only without the literal 'urban' part – it's on a sodding beach.
The festival
Croatia's biggest urban music festival is Fresh Island, and the line up never disappoints. From a huge UK showing with their new grime takeover for 2015, to US heavyweights and surrounding European talent, FI (that's what the cool kids call it - as in, that's what we call it) is the place to be if you want hip-hop on a beach.
And why wouldn't you want hip-hop on a beach? Will Smith even said "Party in the city where the heat is on // All night, on the beach till the break of dawn."
He was talking about Miami of course, but it still applies. And you can do exactly that on Zrce beach at Fresh Island.
Will Smith won't be there though.

How do I get there?
The festival is located on the Island of Pag, on the coast of mainland Croatia close to the city of Zadar. Fresh Island actually takes place on Zrce Beach which is just a few miles away from Novalja and other surrounding towns.
There are several airports in Croatia which serve Fresh Island:

Venice Treviso
Dubrovnik
