After moving around a few times, Slovakia's Grape festival has settled in Airport Pieštany for a two day musical extravaganza.
Squishy squishy squishy, what's that sound? It's the sound of grapes squishing under your feet as you make bootleg Penis Grigio because you spunked your student loan on shoes and cheese. But wait, what's this? Grape, a festival in Slovakia? Well, we can't really afford it, given that we're standing in the living room making our own hooch after last time.
But..... it's pretty cheap, it's pretty Slovakia and year on year it has names you'd usually pay through the nose for, if you hadn't paid through the nose last Friday in the cubicle of The Dublin Castle, you dirty little rotter you.
If you've got a bit of time on your hands, check out the Tatry mountains in Slovakia. Little known outside the country, they're some of the best in Europe. Watch out for the bears though. They can smell Festivalgoer blood.
Also, Piešťany spa is a spa (obviously) that focuses on treatment of motion-disorders and nerve-diseases. It belongs to the most significant spas of its art, and is well known around the world. Spas are just lovely.
