The basics
One of the heaviest festivals in the World, Hellfest always delivers a lineup packed with the best rock and metal bands on the planet.
The festival
If the name isn’t enough of a clue, Hellfest – held in Clisson, France – is the ultimate festival for the metalhead. Even though it doesn’t exactly showcase a broad range of genres (it stretches to a few punk bands), if you’re into metal you’ll be in heaven…or…hell? Regardless, metal royalty such as Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath have previously graced the Hellfest stage, and the calibre of talent on the lineup is always second to none. With bands playing until the early hours of the morning, there’s not much point in a silent disco. Hellfest needs no gimmicks with lineups constantly kicking every other metal festival to the curb.
Our tip
Head over to Hellfest’s Camden Town imitation ‘Hellcity Square’. The metal market for all your indecipherable band logo needs.
