A mixture of roots, world and folk in Northern Devon
There's always been something Lord of the Ringsy about Devon, in a good way. It's not busy and full of people like London, they make ace cider, the houses are smaller (clutching at straws here) and it's really nice. Which is why Ilfracombe is the perfect location for an earthy folk, roots and world music festival.
The Exmoor Club at Ilfracombe's John Fowler Holiday Park plays host to a weekend of fun, family and music. World famous acts draw swords (or fiddles) with local talent to create a laid-back yet exciting blend from music from around the globe. Make sure you get your tickets early, though, because they're precious.
Don't bother watching the extended version of The Lord of the Rings. It's well long
