The basics
An eclectic city festival with hundreds of local and international musicians
The festival
Celebrating Lancaster's musical heritage and the city itself, Lancaster Music Festival brings musicians of almost every genre to town in a bid to promote the area. With more than 30 locations, there's a little something for everyone and there are even buskers dotted around the place too. It's a bit like the London Underground, but instead of the smell of wee and mutual loathing, it takes place in one of the north's most beautiful cities.
Our tip
If for any reason you ever find yourself in a Lancaster Bomber, don't try and fly it. It is probably very old and not fit for use.
