Colourful East London gathering which celebrated its tenth edition in 2014. Raybans optional, dancing shoes obligatory.
Lovebox started life in 2005, when cult dance act Groove Armada decided to hold their East London club night (of the same name) outdoors. Neither they, nor Lovebox, have ever looked back, and that original bash with a mish-mash of artists and styles has evolved into one of the highlights of the London summer.
While big names pack out the main stages at Victoria Park, some of the best fun can be found in the parties spread throughout Lovebox. The Bearded Kitten Manor is a pop up house party with secret rooms, raves and terraces, and gay night Little Gay Brother brings the spirit of Studio 54. And in 2014 DISTRIKT, a dance music camp and collective that originated at Burning Man, were there for the first time.
For the first time in 2014, Lovebox had its own roller disco so you can hare around the place with an inane grin on your face and occasionally fall flat on your arse – this time with a decent excuse. Hopefully it will stick around next year.
