According to the organisers, this is a 'multi-dimensional' festival, so we assume you're going to be getting an experience unlike most. Or that you have to wear special glasses the whole time.
The festival
If you fancy something a little different to your usual bucket-hats-in-a-field-with-a-cardboard-cup-full-of-cider then MTN Bushfire might be the one you're looking for.
With a mix of world music (although mostly African-themed), they've gone all-out on the music front, with a variety of stages all situated in the weird and wonderful suroundings of the House on Fire. Which, in case you were wondering, is a cultural space that's used all year round for various events, but is transformed into an even more impressive arena when MTN comes to town.
As with a lot of these 'cultural' festivals, it's not all about music – you've got performance art, exhibitions, speakers (as in human ones), round table discussions, a kids' area and loads of food and stuff too.
Also, all profits go to local charities, which is nice.
Our tip
Head to the Ekhaya Stage for some "100% seriously Swazi" fun, as it showcases only Swazi acts.
