The basics
All your favourite acts from the decade of mullets and shoulder pads are back, looking slightly worse for wear.
The festival
Hitting northern England for the very first time is Rewind, the only festival dedicated entirely to the much-loved (and equally despised) music scene of the 1980s. The festival is held across three locations, in Cheshire, Henley-on-Thames and Perth in Scotland. The Henley lineup included old timers such as The Boomtown Rats, UB40, Sister Sledge and Rick Astley, among others in 2014.
In typically tacky 1980s fashion there is a silent disco, a karaoke bar (bring your ear plugs), a roller disco and an inflatable church, where you can get hitched in your very own 'Big Love' wedding ceremony. They'll even provide the dress and guests, if you're covered in mud and have forgotten your friends.
Our tip
If getting down and dirty isn't your scene, head for the glamping section and buy a wristband from luxury festival toilet firm When Nature Calls, which gives you access to posh loos that get washed after every use (seriously), as well as mirrors, warm water, a café and chill-out zone.
