The basics

The largest skiable glacier in Europe offers student-centric fun all around the clock, with an all-inclusive pass that gives you access to famous ski runs and the full festival experience.

The festival

Taking place at the famous Les Deux Alpes, 3,000 metres above sea level, Rise promises a full-on week of partying.

During the day there’s access to 225km of ski runs, pools and bars galore. The hostels and restaurants offer south-facing views that look down on crisp snow and stunning scenery, with plenty of entertainment for when your legs just can’t take any more punishment.

The resort comes alive at night, featuring huge festival arenas and cosy gatherings, as well as a range of club night takeovers, live music and pool parties. House, dubstep and bass are the order of the week, with a strong UK-centric lineup encompassing old and new styles.

Offering affordable tickets that also take care of the stress of travel arrangements, Rise takes care of the basics and lets you upgrade to your wallet’s content. There are deals for groups and access to lessons, so even novices should be able to have some fun on the slopes.

Our tip

Try not to wipe yourself out in the evenings. There’s plenty to do around the resort during the day, even if the slopes are proving too much to handle.

Getting there

How do I get there?

The best way to get there is through the travel packages offered by the festival.

Travelling by Coach: The journey in total takes about 18 hours from London to Les Deux Alps. Leave Dover on a coach and travel by ferry to Calais - the crossing takes about 1 hour 20 minutes.

The festival will also offer regional pick ups so if you dont live in London- it doesn't mean you cant get there!

Travelling by air: Les 2 Alpes is super easy to get to if you’ve chosen to fly instead. The resort is best served by Grenoble airport with a transfer time of about 1.5 hours. Or Lyon airport with a transfer time of about 2.5 hours. First stop, budget airlines, most of them fly into both airports.

Hiring a Car: Available from Grenoble, Lyon and Geneva and all 3 are served by most of the major rental agencies. Renting a car can be a bit of a money saver if the costs are shared. Plus a car provides you with added flexibility. You will need to pay for fuel and tolls and sort out parking in resort.
