The basics

A weekend extravaganza with some of the hottest electronic acts in the world.

The festival

American electronic music brand, Ultra, has expanded from its original Miami base to run festival set ups all over the world. 2013 saw the festival head out to Korea for the first time and it garnered gushing reviews.

Without much competition at this high quality level of production, it’s immediately become one of the must-attend dance events in Asia. Paul van Dyk, Above & Beyond, M.I.A. and the other head honchos of dance music headed it up in 2014, complete with huge light shows, pyrotechnics, fireworks and futuristic screens.

If you don’t want to dance with the sweaty hoi palloi, indulge in a VIP ticket which comes complete with your own seated area, bottle service, luxury loos and your own entrance. Raves have never been so swanky.

Our tip

This is an evening only affair so you’ll need accommodation in Kuala Lumpur to rest your head.
