If you like tacos, tequila and dark speakeasies, then you'll like Candelaria. The cocktails range from 'la guêpe vert' (meaning the green wasp – it comes with a spicy kick) to a 'pisco disco', and you're never too far away from a giant plate of Mexican grub to soak up the tequila hangover.

Andy Warhol meets Morocco is a strange combination, but hey, in this hip neighbourhood bar, it works. The mojitos are some of the best that you'll find in the trendy Marais district of the city, and it's full of what look like stuff hauled back from the Marrakech souks. (Fun pub fact: 'wahloo' means 'I have nothing' in Arabic.)
