The basics

The best of electronic music in the remote but spectacular countryside of Llanfaethlu. Try saying that last bit with your mouth full.

The festival

A small but perfectly formed electronic music festival in one of the most remote settings in the UK. Gottwood attracts about 250 of the best electronic artists in the business, and around 5000 revellers keen to leave the real world far, far behind.

Mixmag has called Gottwood "one of the top ten most breathtaking festival settings in the world", and that really is very high praise. Especially for a festival in the UK, which is, let's face it, more often called green and pleasant than breathtaking. But the cliffs, lakes and woods of Anglesey are indeed a spectacular setting for this festival, which is famous for its sunrises and sunsets. If you're doing it properly you should be seeing both.
