The best of electronic music in the remote but spectacular countryside of Llanfaethlu. Try saying that last bit with your mouth full.
A small but perfectly formed electronic music festival in one of the most remote settings in the UK. Gottwood attracts about 250 of the best electronic artists in the business, and around 5000 revellers keen to leave the real world far, far behind.
Mixmag has called Gottwood "one of the top ten most breathtaking festival settings in the world", and that really is very high praise. Especially for a festival in the UK, which is, let's face it, more often called green and pleasant than breathtaking. But the cliffs, lakes and woods of Anglesey are indeed a spectacular setting for this festival, which is famous for its sunrises and sunsets. If you're doing it properly you should be seeing both.

How do I get there?
The address of the festival is Carreglwyd, Llanfaethlu, Holyhead, Anglesey, LL65 4NY (unless someone's cat just walked across the keyboard)
Head for Bangor and exit east on the A55 towards Anglesey. Take the A55 all the way to Valley where you will start to see signs to the festival. Take junction 3 off the A55 towards Valley, take a right at the roundabout (4th exit). Continue to the cross roads and take another right onto the A5025. Follow this for approximately 8 miles until you reach the village of Llanfaethlu. At the approach to the village, bear left at the ‘Y’ junction and you will begin to see the gates to the festival on your right.
The nearest train station is Holyhead and it takes approximately 3.5 hours from London (Direct from Euston), 2 from Manchester. There will be numerous taxis on hand to transport you from the train station to the site. Ask for Gottwood Festival in Llanfaethlu, just off the A5025. It will be signposted from Valley.
