The basics
Go to a festival where it doesn’t matter if it’s cold. In actual fact, if it wasn’t cold, it would be horrendous.
The festival
Snow festivals are popping up all over the shop ('the shop' in this case is the world – it’s a pretty big shop. Probably a Homebase or something), but Snowboxx is in no danger of getting lost in the crowd.
The main reason for this is that it’s quality, and quality should be recognised, so we’re going to recognise it. HERE.
Snowboxx is held in the Portes Du Soleil resort in the French Alps and packs as much activity into one week as is humanly possible. Ski/snowboard in the day, down a few drinks après the fact, then head onto the main festival once the sun sets.
But that’s not it, oh no. There are tonnes of other things to do, yeah? Like ice-skating, the opportunity to take in some amazing art, pool parties, terrace parties, freestyle displays, karaoke and even a retro olympics, which we assume is some sort of mullet-growing competition (it’s not).
Our tip
Check out the Cookie Cafe is the highest restaurant in Europe, supposedly the highest restaurant in Europe. It literally cannot stop smoking the ganja.*
*It's actually just really vertical because it's on a mountain.
