This week's new openings take us from the Caribbean to Norfolk to China – get stuck in...

Portside Parlour, Hackney

This Broadway Market basement bar is apparently's London first rum cocktail bar, serving up around 50 of the UK's best rums in some killer cocktails. And in traditional Caribbean style, sip a cocktail to some rock'n'roll blues.

Wiggies, St Paul's

Slightly closer to home, pork pop-up joint Wiggies is the brainchild of Lucy Hambro, who grew up with a clutch of pigs in Norfolk called the Wiggies. It's pork with an Indian and twist: the 'pignature dishes' include Keralan style pig puppa crispy pork belly square with spiced lentils. Its St Paul's location should guarantee plenty of hungry City workers.

The Tofu Bar at Naga, Kensington

The first tofu bar of its kind in the capital, Naga serves up a vegan's favourite – bean curd – in various forms. The spicy tofu fries with wasabi sounds particularly tasty. To accompany, there's also soy-based cocktails...whoever said coagulated soy milk is boring? Thankfully if tofu doesn't float your boat, Naga does classic Chinese food with a Vietnamese twist.
