The Florida city is well-known as an art deco city, and the James hotel is no different – as an 1930s residence, it has been pulled into the 21st century thanks to a $42m renovation last year (it opened at the end of 2012).
Despite having almost 400 rooms, it retains a boutique feel to it, helped by the the modish interior style. With balconies and sea views in most rooms and a couple of good dining options, you may never want to leave.
