The basics

The Levellers gone and done a festival. Nice little sideline for ageing rockers isn't it? More productive than getting divorced from supermodels, but probably just as expensive.

The festival

Beautiful Days is the Levellers' family music festival which takes place at Escot Park in Devon. It has six stages, site art projects, a huge children’s area, comedy, theatre, family camping, licensed real ale bars from Otter Brewery and a great choice of food and craft stalls.

There's an emphasis on all-ages wholesome fun, with an eclectic mix of music from folk to roots and of course a special appearance from founders The Levellers. Not going to miss their own party are they!

Beautiful Days has no sponsorship or branding and does no advertising so if you're fed up of the commercialisation of larger festivals in the UK, this will be a breath of fresh air.

Our tip

Look out for the announcement of this year's theme. The site art and other elements of the festival will be influenced by the theme and should inspire some creative fancy dress outfits. When we say fancy dress, remember there'll be kids there, so think less pimps n' hoes, more hedgehogs and rainbows.
