And the winner is...
OK, we're guessing the headline probably gives it away, but we're so pleased we're saying it again. Escapism's associate editor Hannah Summers has won the Travel Media Young Travel Writer of the Year award for the second year in a row.
Hannah follows up last year's win at the Travel Media Awards in the same category (as well as being shortlisted for the Best Print Writer in the BSME Rising Star Awards, and the AITO Travel Blog of the Year award for her blog, Burgers and Bruce – thanks for asking) with this award, given primarily for her exploratory piece about travelling across the beautiful Greek island of Kefalonia.
There were also nominations for our editor Jon Hawkins and contributor Lizzie Pook, both in the Regional Publication Travel Feature of the Year category. Elsewhere, there were wins for big hitters like Sunday Times Travel and Condé Nast Traveller, as well as independent publications, writers and bloggers including YouTuber Alex Hunter and Brummell Magazine's Ian Belcher.
