Nordic Outdoor's first ever Central London store is situated on Southampton Street, the heart of the outdoor industry in London, and an area that hosts some of the biggest names in outdoor including Ellis Brigham, Cotswolds and The North Face.
Nordic Outdoor's new 1400ft² store provides a single level showcase of some of the best in Scandinavian outdoor apparel and equipment from some of the most exciting outdoor brands around at the moment.
Since its launch in 2005, Nordic Outdoor has been proud to be flying the flag for Scandinavian outdoor clothing and fashion. Since those initial weekends at outdoor and game fairs, the brand has grown to having four stores across Edinburgh, Keswick and London. This exciting new step into the centre of London acts as an opportunity to reach a new generation of outdoor customers alongside its loyal customer base ,who have shopped with Nordic Outdoor online and in its previous Richmond location.
Founder Caspar Odqvist said Nordic Outdoor’s aim is to use this store “to shake up an outdoor market, which can look all too similar from store to store with only the name above the doors changing. With new brands, a Scandinavian mindset and 20 years of experience behind us, we can’t wait to enjoy our first season in the capital.”
The store also gives the brand an opportunity to introduce its new retail concept which “marks the next stage in a 20-year journey. In this time, the outdoor market has changed dramatically and more customers than ever are looking to get involved in experiences, valuing style just as much as functionality,” Odqvist adds.
Alongside the brands Nordic Outdoor has been working with since the early days, newcomers to the mix for Autumn Winter 2022 include 66° North, Artilect Studios and the return of Houdini Sportswear. The store has also introduced its largest ever collection from masters of the coolbox YETI.
