The Rab Microlight Summit solves that problem, cutting an instantly recognisable outline and weighing in at less than 500g while providing innovative developments in fabric that make it warmer and better waterproofed than ever before. On the techy side of things, Pertex Quantum Infinity fabric means there's no longer any stitching for wind or rain to get through, while the responsibly sourced European goose down was developed with Nikwax to be hydrophobic. That means you'll stay warm in this jacket when it blows a gale and the rain starts coming down. That said, if conditions are seriously cold, or if rain gets heavy, we'd still recommend layering with a hardshell.
