Dr Dre might not be an athlete, but he knows a thing or two about headphones. The new Powerbeats are compact, bend around your ears and put in the hours (i.e. they won't fall out of your ears halfway through your run).
Berghaus VapourLight Hyper Smock, £120
This nylon featherweight jacket purports to be the world's lightest, meaning it's at home both on a run around the city streets or hiking in the Alps. Ultrarunner Philippe Gatta used it on a 1,700km trek across the Himalayas – not that you have to do that, obviously.
Komodo Sport, £125
Editor Jon loves his pair for running, despite the, er, interesting looks. They're as lightweight as can be, and mould to your feet like a second skin. A piece of advice though: don't wear them in the winter if you value your toes.
